Micro Epsilon is a world leader in the field of Metrology. We specialise in high accuracy displacement and temperature sensor technology, used extensively in Automotive, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing industries. Our products are world leading, used by many of the worlds largest companies – placing you in direct contact with engineers from these organisations.
Due to rapid growth in the UK division over recent years, the company is looking to recruit an “Internal Sales & Support Engineer” within Micro Epsilon UK Ltd.
A proactive and positive approach to dealing with new customer enquiries is essential. A ‘sales orientated’ approach would be considered beneficial for this role, as would the ability to open new sales enquiries and the ability to converse at a technical level via telephone when a new enquiry is received.
The candidate will be required to:
Be the first point of contact for new incoming sales enquiries
Discuss at a technical level with the person, via telephone in order to understand their requirements
Prepare quotations and technical documentation to send to the new enquiry
Follow up quotations to move customers to a purchasing decision
Support the field sales team and distributors will
Liaise with the technical headquarters (Micro Epsilon GmbH) for further product information and technical support
Perform test measurements to the customer’s defined specification and deliver the findings in a concise presentable reporting method
Occasional travel to customer sites
Occasional overseas travel for product training
It is essential that you are educated to HNC/HND, degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering/scientific discipline (electrical, electronic or mechanical preferred) for this role. Business orientated modules from your qualifications would be advantageous, as would prior experience in this type of role. Also the ability to speak German would be considered beneficial, but not necessary.
This is a full time, permanent role with a package designed to attract an excellent engineer. Location is based at Micro-Epsilon UK Ltd Head office in Ellesmere Port. Full training will be given to the successful candidate to assist in the development of this role.
